Today, 3rd December 2024, Mr. Maurice Mugisha Deputy MD of Uganda Broadcasting Corporation, and Ms. Irene Birungi Mugisha Coordinator – Presidential CEO Forum State House, paid a courtesy call on Amb. Stephen Chemoiko Chebrot Head of Mission, Uganda Embassy in Qatar. They discussed the Bilateral relations between Uganda and Qatar. In attendance was Amb. Mohammed Baswari Kezaala the Duty Head of Mission and Ms. Florence Kyasiimire, Counselor.

NIRA Uganda together with the Uganda Embassy in Qatar carries out National ID registration for Ugandans living and working in Qatar.

On 27th November 2024, the Deputy Inspector General of the Government of the Republic of Uganda, Mrs. Anne Twinomugisha Muhairwe, paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Head of Mission of Uganda to Qatar, Amb. Mohammed Baswari Kezaala. The two discussed the general welfare of Ugandans living and working in Qatar. In attendance was Ms. Florence Kyasiimire, Counselor/ Head Consular.

Ms Ewa Naqvi IOM Chief of Mission in Qatar, today paid a courtesy call on Deputy Head of Mission, Amb Kezaala Mohammed. The two discussed ways on how to partner and work together to improve the working conditions for Ugandans in Qatar as well as create awareness among Ugandans on the dos and don’ts. In attendance was Ms Florence Kyasiimire, Counselor and Head Consular; Ms Victoria Canny Nabiteeko, National Programme Officer, Ms Roula Hamati, Migration Management Officer, Mr Shaban Taqa, Support officer.

As the 1st Hybrid Uganda -Qatar diaspora convention came to a close, the Ambassador of Uganda to Qatar, took a moment to express his gratitude to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, all the participants; representatives from the Qatar government, the International Organization for Migration, the members of Parliament, for their engagement and commitment to promote Uganda. To our diaspora community, your voices matter. The ideas and feedback you have shared are crucial in shaping our strategies moving forward.

The opening remarks by the Head of Mission Uganda Embassy QATAR Amb. Stephen Chemoiko Chebrot during the HYBRID 1st UGANDA- QATAR DIASPORA CONVENTION, followed by the keynote speaker‘s address Mr. Bagiire Vincent Waiswa Permanent Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kampala Uganda who emphasized that a comprehensive Diaspora Policy that is being finalized, will go a long way in facilitating the mobilization of the diaspora community to better invest and participate in the economic development of Uganda.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda visited the Embassy 8 the Republic of Uganda on 7th March, 2023 in Doha in the State of Qatar where he is currently for the fifth UN Conference on the Low Developed Countries which was officially opened on 5th March, 2023 and will be ending on the 9th March, 2023

Her Excellency the Vice President of the Republic of Uganda Hon. Jessicaca Alupo Epel arrived this evening in Doha the capital city of the State of Qatar at 5.20pm aboard Qatar airways at Hamad international airport. In her entourage was the Minister of State for Finance General Duties Hon. Henry Musasizi, Hon. Fred Opolot, Amb Pacunega Beatrice, Head Economic Monitoring at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and officials from the Vice President’s office headed by the Principal Private Secretary Mr. Alex kakooza .
